Safe Zone is a strategy-based co-op game where you and your teammates work together to rescue civilians from a war zone before every tile on the board turns red. The game takes you on a journey through a world of luck, strategy, and traps, where players race to save civilians while navigating the unpredictable twists and turns of the board.

Blending clever strategy with playful real-life interactions, Safe Zone turns every move into a mix of teamwork, surprise, and thrill — where one smart choice (or one roll of luck) can change everything.

Theme:

It all started with the idea of making a strategy based board game with war theme. The idea came from the occurring war between Israel and Iran.

Ideation:

In warzone the civilians have to protect themself, in situation where army can't come on time. Hence we choose co-op against the board itself.

Concept:

A 1-4 player co-op turn based game. Players can move one step each. For every turn player takes, the board takes one. Save all the civilians before every tile turns red.

Game core loop

The game begins in chaos with the war breaks out at tile X, and the city starts to fall apart. Players pick their starting points on any of the four base tiles, marking where their mission begins.

Each turn, you move one tile at a time, navigating through a tile that changes with every round. After both players have moved, a Nuke Card is drawn, revealing which areas turn into new war zones. The red spreads, and the tension builds.

Your mission is to rescue civilians from these danger zones, flip tiles back to safety, and coordinate your routes before you run out of time (or luck). The challenge is not just the board, it’s managing the pressure, teamwork, and randomness that define the journey.
